Commercial Kitchen Fire Suppression & Ventilation Maintenance Services

Background
The Lee's Summit R-7 School District is soliciting bids for Commercial Kitchen Fire Suppression & Ventilation Maintenance Services. The District aims to ensure the safety and compliance of its kitchen fire suppression systems through regular inspections and maintenance, aligning with industry standards and regulations.

Work Details
The contract includes:

1) Semi-annual inspections of all automatic fire suppression systems, including testing functionality and replacing parts as per the owner's manual and NFPA specifications.

2) A trained technician must perform maintenance, ensuring all components are checked, including detectors, gas containers, agent cylinders, releasing devices, piping, hose assemblies, nozzles, signals, and non-pressurized wet chemical containers.

3) A maintenance report must be filed with the owner after each inspection. Each system will have a tag indicating the date of service and the technician's name.

4) All services must adhere to District and industry standards as outlined in Exhibit A (facility locations) and Exhibit B (maintenance requirements).

Period of Performance
The contract is structured as a yearly agreement with options for renewal for up to three additional one-year periods upon written notice.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed within the boundaries of the Lee’s Summit R-VII School District.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a valid business license and maintain applicable certifications throughout the contract duration. They are required to carry liability insurance with a minimum coverage of $2 million. Additionally, bidders must comply with all federal, state, or local laws relevant to their performance under this agreement.
