Bunker Gear Rental

Work Requested:
The contract seeks the rental of fully compliant, highly durable bunker gear to ensure the proper protection and safety of students during the fire academy. The gear will be used by students as they participate in:

• Live fire training

• Vehicle extrication

All activities are part of the comprehensive Basic Firefighter 1 and 2 training, which exposes students to hazardous environments and requires gear that meets rigorous safety standards.

The MCC Blue River Fire Academy is requesting these services.

Background:
The MCC Blue River Fire Academy provides required training that is approved by the Missouri Division of Fire Safety and follows the NFPA 1010 Standard. The hands-on curriculum is designed to meet the needs of students preparing for careers in firefighting, necessitating the use of specialized bunker gear for safety and compliance.

Contract Requirements:
The bunker gear provided must:

• Be fully compliant with applicable safety standards
• Be highly durable to withstand rigorous training scenarios
• Support all aspects of Basic Firefighter 1 and 2 training, including live fire, rescue, ventilation, and extrication exercises
