Background
The University of Missouri is seeking bids for the furnishing and delivery of Bubbling Fluidized Bed Biomass Boiler Pulse-Jet Baghouse Filter Bags. This procurement is essential for the operation of the university's power plant, which utilizes these filter bags to manage emissions effectively. The goal is to ensure that the biomass boiler operates efficiently while adhering to environmental standards.

Work Details
The contract involves providing 1,568 filter bags designed for a continuous operating temperature of 350ºF and a nominal differential pressure of 6” water. The filter bags must be made from 100% Aramid fibers, with specific construction requirements including a Prevel Expanded Microporous PTFE membrane finish.

The contractor will also be responsible for labor to install the new bags, which includes removing existing bags, installing new ones in existing cages, and conducting leak tests post-installation. Additionally, all materials must be delivered F.O.B. Columbia, Missouri within six weeks of bag approval.

Period of Performance
The contract period shall commence upon award and will last for one year.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the University of Missouri Power Plant located in Columbia, Missouri.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with specific insurance requirements as outlined in the solicitation documents. Participation from certified Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) and Women Business Enterprises (WBE) is encouraged, with targets set at 10% MBE and 5% WBE participation.
