Asphalt Paving Services

Background
The Parkway School District is seeking bids for asphalt paving services, which include new installations, renovations, and repairs at various locations throughout the district. The goal of this contract is to ensure the maintenance and improvement of the district's asphalt surfaces to support its educational mission.

Work Details
The contractor will provide asphalt paving services that include:

1) Removal of existing vegetation, topsoil, and soil up to an average depth of 12 inches;

2) Removal of existing asphalt and aggregate base course up to an average depth of 12 inches;

3) Construction of asphalt pavement with a 3-inch thick Type C asphalt wearing course over a 6-inch thick compacted aggregate base course;

4) Construction of asphalt pavement with geotextile stabilization fabric;

5) Construction of asphalt walkways with specified thicknesses and materials as described in each work order.

The estimated expenditure for these services is approximately $600,000 over one year, with an option for renewal.

Period of Performance
The anticipated start date for the contract is May 14, 2026, with substantial completion expected on or before May 14, 2027.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations within the Parkway School District in Chesterfield, Missouri.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit a Contractor's Qualification Statement (AIA Document A305) along with their bid. They are required to have valid licenses and insurance as specified in the bidding documents. Additionally, all workers must be paid prevailing wage rates as outlined in the detailed specifications.
