Description

25-101 Split Compartment Fuel Tank
Background
St. Charles County Government in Missouri is seeking bids for the installation of a Split Compartment Fuel Tank at their Western District Facility. The project aims to replace an existing above-ground fuel tank and enhance the county's fuel storage capabilities.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:

1. Apply and pay for all necessary permits and provide engineered drawings required for permits.

2. Remove existing diesel and gasoline from the current tank, with the contractor responsible for disposing of residual waste.

3. Demolish and remove the existing 3,000-gallon diesel and 1,000-gallon gasoline tank, including all piping and accessories, while salvaging certain items for St. Charles County.

4. Clean the area where the new tank will be installed.

5. Furnish and install one UL 2085 split compartment fuel tank (1,000 gallons gasoline, 3,000 gallons diesel) equipped with necessary safety features including vents, gauges, alarms, and spill containers.

6. Install one Fillrite 35 GPM Diesel Pump with a metered cabinet and a 15' hose/nozzle setup.

7. Install one Fillrite 18 GPM Gas Pump with a metered cabinet and a similar hose/nozzle setup.

8. Run new conduits to each pump/cabinet and make electrical connections.

9. Install one 20' light pole with LED light and photocell sensor.

10. Conduct system startup and testing for proper operation.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to be completed within approximately three months from the date of execution, with an option to renew for an additional three-month period if agreed upon by both parties.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Western District Facility located at 121 Freymuth Road, Wentzville, MO 63385.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess necessary business licenses in their field, comply with Missouri's prevailing wage laws, provide proof of insurance coverage including worker’s compensation and general liability insurance, submit two signed copies of their bid (one original), and must not have any outstanding debts to St. Charles County from previous contracts.
