2026 Parks Asphalt Sealing, Crack Filling, and Striping

Background
The City of Marshfield and Webster County are seeking sealed bids for asphalt seal coating, crack filling, and striping of walking trails and parking lots. The goal of this contract is to enhance the safety and usability of public spaces through proper maintenance of asphalt surfaces. The products specified for use include SEALMASTER COAL TAR ULTRA for sealing and Crafco PLS Premium Hot Rubber Crack Filler or other MoDOT approved products for crack filling.

All work must be completed by May 15, 2026.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Crack Filling: Remove vegetation and debris from cracks using high-powered blowers and trimmers; fill cracks with Crafco PLS Premium Hot Rubber Crack Filler or other MoDOT approved product.

2. Sealing: Clean asphalt surfaces of debris and dirt with high-powered brooms and blowers; clean and prime oil spots before seal coating; apply two coats of SealMaster Coal Tar Ultra, allowing proper drying times between coats.

3. Striping: Stripe existing pavement markings using premium traffic paint (Sherwin William Hotline or equivalent), subject to approval by City staff.

4. Compliance: All products must be placed according to manufacturer’s recommendations, with potential testing at the City’s expense to confirm specifications. The contractor must provide proper signage and control ingress/egress for the public, a certificate of liability insurance with the City as an additional insured for no less than $1,000,000, and adhere to all state statutes regarding compensation and prevailing wage laws.

Period of Performance
The contract work should be completed no later than May 15, 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in various locations within the City of Marshfield and Webster County, including specific parks, parking lots, and public buildings as detailed in the bid sheet.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit a sealed bid to the City Clerk at 798 S. Marshall, Marshfield MO, 65706 by April 9, 2026. Bidders are required to verify sizes and square footages prior to bidding. The City reserves the right to add additional locations based on unit prices set forth in bids.
