2025 Street Preservation

Background
The City of Raymore, Missouri is issuing a solicitation for the 2025 Street Preservation project. The goal of this contract is to enhance and preserve the city's streets through various milling, overlaying, and repair activities.

The project aims to ensure the longevity and safety of the road infrastructure within the city.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for:
- Two mobilizations for curb replacement in designated areas before overlaying in September or later.
- Performing 124,620 square yards of full-width milling.
- Providing 13,800 tons of 2” Type 5 Recycled asphalt overlay, with asphalt pricing indexed per the Measurement and Payment section. A sample will be taken from the first 500 tons for quality assurance.
- Applying tack oil (UltraTack or CAT-TAC) at a rate of .06 gallons per square yard; paving will commence only after tack has set.
- Cleaning milled surfaces with a vacuum sweeper before tacking.
- Executing 750 tons of full-depth patching using Type 5 Recycled asphalt, with quantities determined post-milling.
- Applying 11,800 square yards of Type II Micro Surface on Dean using steel slag aggregate.
- Conducting deep crack repairs over 500 linear feet, with quantities assessed after milling.
- Re-striping Dean after overlay completion.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence in spring 2025 and continue through September or later, depending on the specific tasks outlined in the bid documents.
