Background
The project is initiated by Jefferson County, Missouri, aimed at improving local infrastructure through the construction of a new road connection and bridge. The goal of the contract is to facilitate better traffic flow and enhance safety in the area.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1. Construction of a new connection from Calvary Church Road to Castle Acres Road, featuring a 26-30 foot wide and 10.5-inch-thick asphalt pavement section.
2. A 235-foot three-span bridge with prestressed concrete girders across Plattin Creek tributary.
3. Bulk earthwork including cut/fill/grading.
4. Storm water improvements.
5. Installation of permanent traffic control guardrail.

All work must adhere to the provided Specifications, Job Special Provisions, and Plans, as well as the Missouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction (2025 Edition).

Period of Performance
The contractor has a maximum of 130 Working Days to complete the project, with a completion deadline of September 15th, 2026.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed in Jefferson County, Missouri.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be on MoDOT’s Qualified Contractor List and submit a contractor questionnaire at least 7 days prior to bid opening. A cashier’s check or bid bond of 5% is required with each proposal, along with a certificate of insurance. All labor must be paid at least the prevailing wage rates established by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations.

Contractors must provide a minimum 10-Hour OSHA construction safety program for on-site employees within sixty days of starting work. The DBE goal for this project is set at 10%, and no second-tier subcontracting is allowed.
