RFP -PS- South Minneapolis Community Safety Center

Background
The City of Minneapolis is seeking proposals from qualified Architectural & Engineering consulting firms to provide services for the South Minneapolis Community Safety Center. This project aims to enhance community safety through the development of a new facility located at 2633 Minnehaha Ave., Minneapolis.

The Finance and Property Services Department is responsible for overseeing this initiative, which includes architectural, engineering, and construction administration services.

Work Details
The selected firm will be responsible for providing comprehensive Architectural, Engineering, and Construction Administration services as outlined in the Scope of Services (Attachment B). Key tasks include:
1. Full A/E services including design, construction administration, and inspection.
2. Compliance with the City of Minneapolis Sustainable Building Policy.
3. Integration of sustainable design principles such as energy efficiency, water management, and indoor air quality into the project.
4. Coordination with various stakeholders including the City’s Project Manager and other consulting firms.
5. Preparation of detailed deliverables including reports, plans, and specifications that meet LEED® standards or State of Minnesota B3 Guidelines.
6. Engagement with certified small businesses as part of the design team to promote diversity in contracting.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence on November 18, 2024, and conclude by June 15, 2027.

Place of Performance
The primary location for performance will be at 2633 Minnehaha Ave., Minneapolis, MN.
