RFP - PS - Minneapolis Democracy Center A/E

Background
The City of Minneapolis is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) to select a qualified Architectural & Engineering consulting firm. The firm will provide Architectural, Engineering, and Construction Administration services for the proposed Minneapolis Democracy Center. This project aims to enhance civic engagement and provide a dedicated space for democratic activities at the designated location.

Work Details
The selected firm will be responsible for providing comprehensive Architectural and Engineering services as outlined in the 'Scope of Services' (Attachment B). Key responsibilities include:
1. Full A/E services including design, construction administration, and inspection services.
2. Compliance with the City of Minneapolis Sustainable Building Policy.
3. Development of tasks, deliverables, and a proposed schedule for the project.
4. Previous experience with voter/election services or mixed-use commercial facilities is required, along with familiarity with LEED® Building Design + Construction standards or State of Minnesota B3 Guidelines.
5. The A/E team must include a LEED® Accredited Professional and demonstrate experience in sustainable building design.

Period of Performance
The estimated period of performance for this contract is from April 2025 to April 2027.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Minneapolis Democracy Center located at 3000 Minnehaha Avenue, Minneapolis.
