RFP - OPS - Open Streets Organizers

Background
The City of Minneapolis is seeking proposals for event organizers to coordinate and implement up to four Open Streets events in 2025.
The Open Streets initiative has been a part of Minneapolis since 2011, aiming to encourage physical activity, support active transportation choices, and enhance community engagement.
These events provide car-free streets for residents to enjoy their neighborhoods and have historically included vendors, music, and activities that foster community connections.

Work Details
The selected organizers will be responsible for the coordination and implementation of the Open Streets events.
Each event contract will not exceed $50,000.
Organizers may propose multiple routes from specified areas including Lowry Avenue, West Broadway, Central Avenue, Hennepin Avenue, Washington Avenue, Glenwood Avenue, Franklin Avenue, Lake Street, Minnehaha Avenue, Lyndale Avenue, Nicollet Avenue, Cedar Avenue.
Each proposed route must be at least five blocks long and include commercially zoned areas.
Events are to be held on Saturdays or Sundays between May 1 and October 31.
Organizers must submit detailed proposals including an executive summary, scope of services, experience and capacity details, personnel listings, cost/fees breakdowns, and financial information.

Period of Performance
The estimated service start date is March 21, 2025, with an estimated service end date of November 14, 2025.

Place of Performance
The events will take place in various neighborhoods across Minneapolis along designated routes.
