RECS RFP Design & PM for Upgrade Security MCF-SHK

Background
The Minnesota Department of Administration has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Design and Project Management for Upgrade Security Systems at MCF-Shakopee. The goal is to ensure diversity and inclusion in the public procurement process, with a commitment to businesses owned by minorities, women, veterans, and those with substantial physical disabilities.

Work Details
The project involves providing Electrical Engineering, Architectural, and Mechanical Design for determining Upgrade Security Systems across the facility. The scope includes low voltage electrical engineering, architectural design including casework and office control stations, door and frame security hardware, and mechanical design such as relocation of ductwork. The project also requires phasing and potential coordination with other construction projects. The estimated project schedule spans from February 2024 to April 2026.

Period of Performance
The term of the contract is anticipated to run from March 1, 2024 to February 28, 2026, with the option to extend an additional 3 years in increments determined by the State.

Place of Performance
The project will be performed at Minnesota Correctional Facility – Shakopee, located at 1010 West Sixth Avenue, Shakopee, Minnesota 55379.
