RECS RFP Design for Water Heater and Boiler Replac

Background
The Minnesota Department of Administration is seeking proposals for Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing, and associated Electrical Engineering services to provide design documents for the Water Heater Plant at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Fergus Falls. The goal is to ensure that those providing goods and services to the State are representative of Minnesota communities and include businesses owned by minorities, women, veterans, and those with substantial physical disabilities.

Work Details
The project involves assessing the facility’s domestic water system, including the water heating equipment and associated plumbing system, providing a report detailing existing conditions, recommended repair and replacement options, and cost estimates.
The project also includes design and bidding phases, construction document services, construction administration, post-construction services, and maximizing energy savings.
The project delivery mode is Design-Bid-Build.

Period of Performance
The contract is anticipated to run from May 26, 2024, to May 25, 2026, with the option to extend an additional 3 years in increments determined by the State.

Place of Performance
The project will be performed at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Fergus Falls.
