REBID Food Service: Bemidji CBHH

Background
The State of Minnesota, through its Department of Administration, is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) to establish a food service management contract for the Bemidji Community Behavioral Health Hospital. The goal of this contract is to provide nutritious and efficient food services to the facility, which is part of Minnesota's Direct Care and Treatment program.

The contract aims to ensure that individuals served at the hospital receive quality meals that meet their dietary needs.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for preparing and delivering meals, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and daily snacks for the Bemidji Community Behavioral Health Hospital. The contractor must provide all food, beverages, supplies, and equipment necessary for the operation of food services.

Meals must offer at least two options for lunch and dinner, including hot food. The contractor must also comply with various health and safety regulations and submit required documentation such as:
1) Department of Health Inspection;
2) Dietary Manager Certificate;
3) Vendor Business License;
4) Certified Food Protection Manager Certificate (CFPM);
5) Credential Verification of the Registered Dietitian by the Commission of Dietetic Registration.

Period of Performance
The anticipated contract term is from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026, with an option to extend for up to four additional years.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Bemidji Community Behavioral Health Hospital located in Bemidji, Minnesota.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be licensed to do business in Minnesota and have a minimum of one year of experience in food service preparations. They are encouraged to propose additional tasks or activities that could enhance service delivery. Preference points will be awarded to businesses certified as targeted group (TG), economically disadvantaged (ED), or veteran-owned businesses.
