MnDOT Cube Compression Testing Machine

Background
The State of Minnesota, through the Department of Transportation, is seeking bids for a Cube Compression Testing Machine. This solicitation aims to procure a Forney Model F-250-VFD/AUTO or an approved equivalent. The purpose of this contract is to enhance the capabilities of the Department in testing construction materials, aligning with its mission to ensure safe and efficient transportation infrastructure.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide a Cube Compression Testing Machine that meets the following specifications:
- Must be a Forney Model F-250-VFD/AUTO or an approved equivalent.
- Automatic Testing Protocol: The machine must have a one-touch automatic testing protocol for standard compression and flexural testing of construction material specimens.
- Data Collection Capabilities:
1. Variable pump displacement for energy efficiency.
2. Variable motor speed for minimum noise levels.
3. Touchscreen interface.
4. Fully programmable for automatic profiles for Cubes and/or Cylinders.
5. Real-time data acquisition and display with graphing capabilities.
6. Provision for user observed break phenomena input.
7. Immediate printing capability upon test completion.
- Compatibility: Must be compatible with Windows 10/11 systems and include Wi-Fi data transmission.
- Concrete Cylinder Testing Specifications: Must comply with ASTM E-4, include safety features like high-pressure safety valves, emergency stop buttons, and have a compressive capacity of up to 250,000 LBF with dual compressive ranges.

Period of Performance
This contract is anticipated as a one-time purchase with no ongoing performance period specified beyond the delivery of the machine.

Place of Performance
The delivery location will be determined by the State's Authorized Representative at the time of order placement.
