Medina Roof Replacement

The work required under this contract involves the removal of the existing solar array from the main building and the replacement of roof coverings on all four buildings at the Hennepin County Public Works Facility ( Medina ) in Medina, Minnesota. The total roof area is approximately 223,000 square feet. The main building (190,400 SF), storage building (5,285 SF), and salt storage shelter (20,580 SF) currently have built-up roofs original to the 1998 construction, while the fuel depot (6,800 SF) has a 90-mil EPDM roof covering. All buildings will receive new 90-mil EPDM roof systems as part of this project. This solicitation is issued by Hennepin County for the Medina Public Works Facility. The facility was constructed in 1998 and consists of four buildings. The project is necessary to replace the aging roof coverings and to remove and reinstall the solar array on the main building. The work will be completed in two phases, with Phase I ending in November 2025 and Phase II beginning in spring 2026. At a minimum, Phase I will include the replacement of the roof section on the main building that contains the existing solar array, as well as the fuel depot roof covering and associated mechanical work.
