Government Center Remodel

Background
The Government Center Remodel project is issued by Olmsted County, aiming to enhance the functionality and aesthetics of their existing building. The project focuses on alterations that will improve the lower level and third floor of the facility, aligning with the county's mission to provide effective public services.

Work Details
The project includes selective demolition, construction, interior finishes, and updates to mechanical and electrical systems. Specific tasks include:

1) Alteration of existing building structures on the lower level and third floor;
2) Demolition of selected areas as per project specifications;
3) Installation of new interior finishes;
4) Mechanical updates including HVAC systems;
5) Electrical updates to ensure compliance with current standards.

Additionally, there are alternate bids for reusing existing VAV controls in the lower level and replacing light fixtures in designated rooms with NLIGHT enabled fixtures.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must acknowledge compliance with Minnesota's Responsible Contractor Act. They are required to submit a bid bond and confirm they are not debarred by the State of Minnesota. Bidders must also include sales tax on construction materials and acknowledge that their bid includes FOB Destination shipping costs.
