Correctional Food Service Program

Background
Olmsted County is soliciting proposals from correctional food service providers to deliver a complete food service program for the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the facility has a reliable and efficient food service operation that meets the dietary needs of the inmates.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing a complete food service program which includes meal planning, preparation, and delivery for the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center. Specific services include:

1) Preparing and serving three meals per day,
2) Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations,
3) Providing nutritional meals that meet dietary guidelines,
4) Managing inventory and ordering of food supplies,
5) Training staff on food safety practices,
6) Maintaining kitchen equipment and facilities.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and is expected to last for an initial term of one year with options for renewal based on performance.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center located in Rochester, Minnesota.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must not be debarred by the State of Minnesota. They are required to acknowledge receipt of all addenda related to this project and confirm their ability to meet the specifications outlined in the RFP.
