Content Management System (Website Redesign)

Background
Hennepin Technical College is seeking proposals to identify a new content management system (CMS) and to develop, design, implement, and provide technical services for the modernization of its web presence.
The goal is to enhance the user experience and align the website with the institution's brand identity while ensuring accessibility and responsiveness across devices.

Work Details
The contractor will assist in identifying a new CMS and will be responsible for:
- Developing, designing, and implementing a modern website for Hennepin Technical College, including the main website (HennepinTech.edu), College Foundation microsite, and employee intranet.
- Creating an updated look and feel that reflects the institution’s brand identity.
- Ensuring compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2) and improving navigation.
- Migrating content from the old site to the redesigned site as selected by Hennepin Tech.
- Providing ongoing opportunities for feedback from staff, faculty, students, and community members during development.
- Delivering training for college technical staff, creative staff, and content managers.
- Developing content procedures, workflows, and supporting documentation.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award in July 2025 and is expected to be completed by April 1, 2026, with ongoing support through June 30, 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will primarily take place at Hennepin Technical College's locations in Minnesota.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate experience in higher education projects and provide examples of similar work.
They should also have knowledge of website planning, research, information architecture, UI/UX design, security practices, and implementation tailored specifically for Hennepin Technical College's needs.
