Campus Laundry Services

Background
Minnesota State University Moorhead is seeking proposals for the installation and operation of coin-free laundry services. The goal of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to obtain pricing, maintenance, and service work from interested vendors to enhance laundry services for the university's residents.

Work Details
The selected vendor will provide electric washers and dryers sufficient to meet the volume and accessibility needs of the university. Proposals must include machine manufacturer names, quantities, and types for each location. The university will not consider WiFi or application-driven equipment.

All machines must be installed and operational by August 1, 2025, unless otherwise agreed upon. The vendor is responsible for the installation of dryer vents, power cords, vent kits, and drain siphon breaks to existing hookups. Service and maintenance responsibilities include ensuring acceptable appearance and operation of machines, maintaining machines in excellent working condition, and conducting regularly scheduled inspections and cleaning of visible venting.

The vendor will also maintain ventilation systems from the machines to the walls; however, the university will handle ventilation from the wall to outside the building. The total number of machines required includes: 61 washers and 69 dryers across various buildings with a total capacity of 1413 residents.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence on July 15, 2025, with a duration of five years.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must comply with all requirements outlined in the RFP including providing a detailed proposal that addresses equipment specifications, maintenance plans, and service delivery. There are no specific set-aside certifications mentioned.
