Boiler & Chilled Water Chemical Treatment Service

Background
Minnesota State is seeking proposals for a water treatment service program specifically for the steam and chilled water system at Minnesota State University Mankato (MSU). The aim is to ensure high-quality chemical treatment and service to maintain peak operating efficiencies and prevent corrosion in these systems using safe and environmentally friendly products.

Work Details
The vendor will be responsible for providing annually all necessary chemicals, training, equipment, and testing supplies as per the specifications outlined in Attachments A, B, and C. Key goals of the water treatment program include:

- Optimal corrosion prevention in all water systems.
- Maintenance of peak operating efficiencies of all equipment.
- Implementation of a service program that guarantees maximum results.
- Safe and efficient application of chemicals.
- Use of environmentally acceptable chemicals compliant with regulatory agencies.
- Training for operating personnel on safety, program operation, and chemical application.
- Minimization of monitoring time required by operating personnel.
- Maintenance of the program at the lowest overall cost.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence on July 1, 2025, following the completion of the selection process which concludes with vendor notification in March 2025. The length of the contract will be five years.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at Minnesota State University Mankato's Utility Plant located at 500 West Road, Mankato, MN 56001.
