BID-MPRB Gym Floor Refinishing - Farview Rec Ctr.

Background
The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) is seeking bids for the gym floor refinishing at the Farview Recreation Center. The goal of this contract is to provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and supplies to complete the refinishing project in accordance with specified requirements.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
- Sanding down the existing maple flooring to remove all finishes and game lines.
- Sealing the floor with two coats of PoloPlaz World Class Gym Sealer after sanding.
- Painting new game lines which include:
- Main Basketball:
- 4x color – 15’ Cardinal logo at center court (Cardinal logo available in PDF format).
- 1x color – 18” GARY WILSON GYMNASIUM (paint twice).
- 2x color – 12” basketballs at top of keys.
- Volleyball Lines – Main Court Only:
- 6x 3-Point Lines – High School Distance Lines (2 for main court, 4 for side courts).
- 2x Cross Basketball Lines.
- 4x 12’ Free-Throw Lines.
- Lines on the four side courts with red color, each line being 2’ long.
- A 3’ red border around the entirety of the gym.
- Finish with two additional coats of PoloPlaz World Class Gym Sealer.

Period of Performance
The work is scheduled to occur from early December 2024 to early January 2025, with a requirement for a notice period of 2 to 3 weeks before work commencement.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the Farview Recreation Center located at 921 N. 29th Ave., Minneapolis, MN 55411.
