Winter Maintenance; 3 Carpools Lots in south Oakland County

Background
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is seeking a contractor to provide winter maintenance services for three carpool parking lots located in southern Oakland County. The goal of this contract is to ensure safe and accessible parking facilities during the winter months by effectively managing snow and ice removal.

Work Details
The contractor will provide winter maintenance services including snow plowing and applying de-icer products at the following locations:

1. Milford/New Hudson Lot - Centennial Dr., I-96, Milford Rd., 142 spaces;
2. Wixom Lot - I-96, Beck Rd., 174 spaces;
3. Southfield Bus Station - I-696, Lahser Rd., 194+ bus spaces.

Services include:
1. Plowing snow/ice from parking lots, driving areas, and entrances/exits to roadways.
2. Applying rock salt or alternate de-icer products as needed.
3. Automatic services must be performed whenever a snow/ice event occurs, with a goal of having surfaces clear by 6:00 a.m. on any day.
4. On-call services must be available within two hours of request by the Program Manager.

Period of Performance
The anticipated contract start date is November 15, 2024, and will cover the winter/snow season of 2024-2025.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at three MDOT carpool parking lots located in southern Oakland County, specifically in Milford, Wixom, and Southfield.
