Southeastern High School Annex

Background
The Detroit Public Schools Community District is seeking proposals for the Southeastern High School Annex project. The project aims to construct an 11,000 square foot building adjacent to the existing Southeastern High School, which will house an advanced manufacturing program, career and technical education labs, student and teacher collaboration spaces, and support spaces. The construction is planned to occur between October 2024 and August 2025.

Work Details
The scope of work includes Earthwork, Site Utilities, Foundations, Masonry, Steel, Roofing, plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Fire Alarm & Interior finishes.
The building structure will consist of loadbearing CMU walls with steel trusses and bar joist that form the roof.
Project utilities will include new sanitary sewer lead, new fire protection, new domestic water, new natural gas and electrical service extended from the existing high school.

Period of Performance
Construction activities are planned to occur between October 2024 and August 2025.

Place of Performance
The project will be performed at the site adjacent to the existing Southeastern High School.
