SO-1815 Hill Center ground solar project

Background
The Hill Center ground solar project is initiated by the Lansing School District as part of their Sinking Fund projects. The goal of this contract is to install a solar energy system at the Hill Center, contributing to the district's mission of enhancing educational facilities and promoting sustainability.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following services and products:

1. Installation of solar panels, inverters, optimizers, racking systems, and associated electrical balance of system (E-BOS) components.

2. Mechanical installation of post racking modules is required in the base bid.

3. Fencing installation as per specifications:
- 72” tall x #9-gauge x 2” mesh galvanized chain link fencing with knuckle/twist.
- 1 5/8” O.D. ss20 top rail and braced ends/corners/gates (galvanized).
- 2 ½” O.D. ss20 line posts (galvanized) spaced 10’ on center.
- 3” O.D. ss40 terminal & gate posts (galvanized).
- Bottom tension wire included.
- One 48” wide pedestrian swing gate and one 120” wide double drive gate with standard hardware, both allowing for padlocks and drop pin assembly.

All posts must be set in concrete with footings measuring 10” in diameter and extending at least 42” deep to meet frost line requirements. The contractor is also responsible for obtaining necessary permits for installation, which must be filed by the awarded contractor.

Period of Performance
The expected timeline for the project is from late fall of 2024 into winter.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the Hill Center location within the Lansing School District.
