Description

Smokey Bear Digital Sign & Base Fabrication & Installation
Background
The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is seeking a contractor for the provision of a Daktronics digital sign, including sign base fabrication, installation, and electrical work. This Request for Proposal (RFP) was initiated to select a contractor for a one-time purchase aimed at enhancing the visibility and communication of forest resources information through the Smokey Bear digital sign.

Work Details
The contractor will provide the following services:
- Fabrication and installation of a Daktronics digital sign
- Concrete piers
- Wood posts
- Installation of all sign components
- Electrical connections
- Site clean-up
- Obtaining necessary permits.

The total contract includes the delivery and installation of all specified components as part of the Smokey Bear Sign project.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to be executed following the award recommendation on August 25, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in Michigan, specifically at locations designated by the Department of Natural Resources.
