Septic and Vault pumping - Muskegon & Duck Lake State Parks

Background
The Department of Natural Resources is seeking proposals for Vault Pumping Services for Muskegon State Park and Duck Lake State Park.

Work Details
The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to secure a contract for vault pumping services. The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to perform the vault pumping services as described in the requirements detailed herein. The Contractor shall provide septic system and vault toilet pumping and waste disposal services at various sites within Muskegon State Park and Duck Lake State Park. Services will be required at specific locations listed in the solicitation. The Contractor must contact the Contract Administrator to arrange schedules and to receive necessary orientation prior to the start of any contracted service.
The Contractor shall coordinate service with park staff to minimize inconvenience to visitors. Safety lights shall be in operation whenever the Contractor’s vehicle is on State trails. Disposal of all effluent shall be through an Environment, Great Lakes & Energy (EGLE) approved septage waste receiving facility or be land applied in accordance with state and federal laws.

Period of Performance
This is a bid for a 3 year contract with 2 1-year options for vault pumping services at Muskegon Lake State Park and Duck Lake State Park.

Place of Performance
Vault pumping services will be performed at Muskegon State Park (3560 Memorial Drive, Muskegon, MI 49445) and Duck Lake State Park (4628 Scenic Drive, Whitehall, MI 49461).
