Background
DeWitt Public Schools in DeWitt, MI is seeking proposals from qualified contractors for a re-keying project within the district. The goal of this contract is to ensure the security and accessibility of school facilities through a comprehensive re-keying process.

The Owner intends to enter into one contract with a successful Locksmith who will be responsible for coordinating all required work.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the re-keying of all locks within the DeWitt Public Schools district. This includes assessing current lock systems, providing new keys, and ensuring that all locks are functioning correctly after re-keying.

The contractor must coordinate with the Owner regarding the bid opening location and ensure that all work is completed efficiently and effectively. Bidders must provide a sworn statement disclosing any familial relationships with members of the Board of Education and an Affidavit of Compliance regarding the Iran Economic Sanctions Act.

Period of Performance
The anticipated start of construction is as soon as possible after contract award on October 14, 2024, with substantial completion expected by June 30, 2025.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at various locations within the DeWitt Public Schools district in DeWitt, Michigan.
