Security Services

Background
The Oak Park School District is seeking a qualified firm to provide security services to ensure the safety of students, staff, and visitors. The District emphasizes professionalism, reliability, and accountability from all contracted security personnel. The goal of this contract is to support school operations through effective security measures.

Work Details
The contractor will provide security services that include active supervision, patrol, and support during school operations such as arrival, dismissal, and special events. Specific duties include monitoring entrances, exits, hallways, common areas, and grounds; conducting routine patrols; assisting with student management; responding to incidents and emergencies; completing daily logs and incident reports; and ensuring compliance with district safety procedures.

Security personnel are expected to maintain a visible presence throughout the school day and assist in maintaining order within the school environment. Staffing requirements specify the number of officers needed at various schools during specific hours.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on July 1, 2026, and will have a base term of three years, ending on June 30, 2029. There are options for two one-year renewals subject to Board approval.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations within the Oak Park School District including Einstein Elementary, Key Elementary, Pepper Elementary, Lessenger Early Childhood Center, NOVA Academy, Oak Park Preparatory Academy, Oak Park High School, and the Administration Building.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with all federal, state and municipal equal opportunity guidelines. They must also provide proof of insurance coverage including commercial general liability insurance of at least $1 million per occurrence and professional liability insurance. Additionally, contractors must ensure that all security personnel undergo background checks and drug screenings before starting work.
