Roofing Contractor

Background
Marshall Public Schools is seeking proposals for a contractor to repair and install the roofs at Marshall Opportunity High School (MOHS) and Hughes Elementary School (HES). The district is utilizing the OMNIA purchasing cooperative to procure materials. The goal of the contract is to ensure that the roofing projects meet specified standards and conditions.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for recovering the roof at Hughes Elementary School (HES) with a total square footage of 22,265. This project will follow non-prevailing wage labor costs. Additionally, the contractor will recover, restore, and replace sections of the roof at Marshall Opportunity High School (MOHS), with replacement square footage of 53,082, recover square footage of 57,899, and restore square footage of 26,045. The contractor must have knowledge and experience installing Tremco roofing materials.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence after the bid approval by the Board of Education during the week of May 5, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at two locations: Marshall Opportunity High School located at 225 E Watson St., Albion, MI 49224
and Hughes Elementary School located at 103 E Hughes St., Marshall, MI 49068.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the owner or any employee of the bidder and any member of the Board of Education or Superintendent. Bidders must also submit an Iran Economic Sanctions Affidavit certifying that they are not an 'Iran linked business'. A Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Base Bid must accompany each proposal.
