Rfb- Cafeteria Floor Replacement

Background
Gier Elementary School, located in Hillsdale, Michigan, is seeking qualified contractors to submit proposals for the replacement of the existing cafeteria flooring. The goal of this contract is to enhance the school's facilities by installing a new flooring system that meets safety and aesthetic standards.

Work Details
The project involves the replacement of approximately 2,400 square feet of cafeteria flooring. The scope includes:

- Removal and disposal of existing rubber floor and sleepers;
- Surface preparation as required;
- Installation of a new flooring system.

Contractors are requested to provide pricing for one or all three flooring options:

1) Approximately 2,400 sq.ft of concrete, approximately 3 to 3.5 inches deep;
2) An epoxy coating system that includes preparation and finishing on a concrete substrate and application of a commercial-grade epoxy flooring system suitable for high-traffic school environments;
3) Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT), which requires preparation and finishing on a concrete substrate along with installation of a commercial-grade LVT flooring system, including adhesive and transitions.

All materials and workmanship must meet applicable Michigan school facility standards.

Period of Performance
The contractor must provide a timeline for completion, preferably during non-instructional periods.
