REQUEST FOR QUOTE 185986: Planned Residential Demolition Group 8.8.25 (8224 Dobel-Demo Only)

Background
The City of Detroit's Office of Contracting and Procurement (OCP) is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for the abatement and demolition of residential properties as part of the City of Detroit Demolition Program. The goal is to improve neighborhoods and enhance the quality of life for residents by removing blighted structures. The City reserves the right to evaluate properties individually and award contracts accordingly.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the complete abatement and demolition of residential properties, including but not limited to:
- Asbestos Material Removal & Disposal
- Other Hazardous Materials Removal & Disposal
- Demolition & Debris Removal & Disposal
- Backfill, Grading, and Site Finishing
- Seeding.

The contractor must ensure that all work is completed within 120 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. All necessary permits must be obtained, and compliance with local laws and regulations is mandatory. The contractor must also document site conditions, maintain clear communication with the City, and ensure safety measures are in place to protect persons and property.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period begins upon issuance of a Notice to Proceed and must be completed within 120 calendar days. Specific milestones include:
- Submit notifications within 1 business day of Notice to Proceed;
- Commence demolition within 21 calendar days;
- Load out debris within 7 calendar days post-demolition;
- Backfill and grade within 14 calendar days post-open hole approval.

Place of Performance
Demolition will take place at various residential properties throughout the City of Detroit as specified in the RFQ documentation.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be prequalified by the City of Detroit's Office of Contracting and Procurement. They must provide proof of all necessary licenses, certifications, and insurance coverage naming the City as an additional insured. Subcontracting is allowed only with prior written approval from the City. Bidders are required to submit a complete Quote including a Price Sheet, Professional Rate Schedule, and Signature Page.
