Background
Grand Rapids Public Schools (GRPS) is seeking proposals from real estate consulting firms and brokers to evaluate and recommend options for marketing and selling properties located within the City of Grand Rapids.
This initiative is part of the GRPS Reimagine plan, aimed at maximizing the impact of educational facilities while addressing community, economic, and housing needs.
Work Details
The successful firm will provide real estate consulting and broker services, including:
1. Conducting a Highest & Best Use and Site Study to assess current market conditions, site conditions, financial feasibility, and determine disposition strategy.
2. Developing strategies for selling identified properties, including Stocking Elementary (863 H St NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504) and Alexander (1010 Alexander SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49507).
3. Creating marketing materials to advertise properties for sale and distributing them to potential buyers.
4. Advising GRPS on promotional strategies for the identified properties.
5. Participating in site tours for potential buyers.
6. Analyzing offers from potential buyers and advising on negotiations.
7. Representing GRPS in negotiations with prospective buyers until closing.
8. Coordinating real estate transaction closings and providing project management oversight throughout the process.
Period of Performance
The contract period will be one year from the award date with possible renewals based on satisfactory performance.

The services will be performed within the City of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
