PW-7042 Mt Elliott and Conant Street Reconstruction

Background
The City of Detroit Office of Contracting and Procurement (OCP) is seeking bids from qualified firms for the reconstruction of Mt Elliott and Conant Street. This project is part of the Department of Public Works' efforts to improve infrastructure and enhance public safety within the city. The goal is to provide a comprehensive reconstruction that includes roadways, utilities, landscaping, and traffic management.

Work Details
The contract includes a variety of tasks such as:
- Mobilization and site preparation
- Removal of existing trees, stumps, and pavement
- Installation of new sewer systems, including various classes and sizes
- Construction of sidewalks, curbs, and ramps in compliance with ADA standards
- Installation of traffic signals and signage
- Landscaping work including planting trees and maintaining soil erosion control measures
- Electrical work related to street lighting and traffic signals
- Maintenance of traffic during construction activities
- Cleanup after project completion. Specific quantities include:
- 2 trees removed (19 inch to 36 inch)
- 1548 feet of sewer removal (less than 24 inch)
- 31697 square yards of pavement removal
- Installation of various types of concrete pavements and curbs
- Installation of multiple traffic signal components.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence upon award with an estimated duration until completion by April 2026.
