PMC HMA Repairs M-53 & M-59 Ramps

Background
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) No. 250000002029 for services related to the maintenance and repair of highway ramps at M-53 and M-59 in Utica, Macomb County. The goal of this contract is to ensure the safe and efficient resurfacing of these ramps, which is crucial for maintaining the infrastructure and supporting the agency's mission to provide a safe and efficient transportation system.

Work Details
The contractor will perform a single course 2-inch cold milling and resurfacing on various ramps at M-53 & M-59. The project includes:
- Milling HMA surface
- Joint and crack repairs
- 2-inch HMA resurface
- Permanent pavement markings
- Other defined work as specified in the contract documents.

The specific ramps involved are:
1. Ramp from M-59 to NB M-53
2. Ramp from SB M-53 to M-59
3. Ramp from NB M-53 to M-59.

The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, supervision, and any incidental services required to perform the contract activities. All work must comply with MDOT Standard Specifications for Construction, 2020 Edition.

Period of Performance
The contract activities must be completed by September 30, 2025. Once work commences, it must be performed continuously until completion.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed on various ramps at M-53 & M-59 in Utica, Macomb County, Michigan.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be currently listed as a MDOT Prequalified Contractor in the category Cb-Hot Mix Asphalt/Bituminous Paving. Additionally, all contractors must comply with prevailing wage requirements as per local laws and regulations.
