PMC Bridge Painting Clean, Coat & Maint Creyts ovr I-496

Background
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is seeking proposals for the partial structural steel cleaning, coating, and maintaining traffic at Creyts Road over I-496. This project aims to ensure the integrity and safety of the bridge structure while maintaining traffic flow during construction activities.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, supplies, equipment, tools, supervision, and any incidental services required to perform the contract activities. Specific tasks include:

- Cleaning and coating the structural steel within designated limits as noted in the plans.
- Maintaining traffic according to specified provisions.
- Completing all work within the established time frames.

The contractor must also furnish performance and lien bonds for 100% of the total contract price. The project requires compliance with prevailing wage laws and includes various traffic control devices such as barricades, drums, arrow boards, and signage. A detailed pricing schedule must be submitted that includes all costs associated with these activities.

Period of Performance
The contract activities must be completed by October 15, 2026.

Creyts Road over I-496 in Michigan.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be currently listed as a MDOT Prequalified Contractor in the N4 – Bridge Painting category. Additionally, both the bidder and any subcontractors must be registered with the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity (LEO) to perform work on State of Michigan projects. A copy of the active State Project Registration Confirmation letter from LEO must be included with the proposal.
