Background
The Michigan Department of Corrections (MDOC), through Michigan State Industries (MSI), is seeking proposals for the provision of optical lenses and frames. The goal of this contract is to supply eyeglasses specifically manufactured for offender use, thereby supporting the MDOC's mission to provide necessary services and products to state agencies and local governmental units.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing various types of optical lenses and frames as specified in the solicitation. The lenses required include:
- Semi-finished hard resin CR-39 lenses
- Finished single vision hard resin CR-39 lenses
- Bifocal lenses
- Polycarbonate lenses
- Photochromic options among others.

The specifications detail various sizes (65mm - 80mm) and power ranges for the lenses. Additionally, the contractor must provide a range of optical frames in different materials (plastic, metal) and styles (cat eye, rectangular, modified oval) with specific size requirements. All products must meet the outlined specifications and be delivered within agreed timeframes.

Period of Performance
The anticipated contract start date is October 23, 2025. The contract will be effective for an initial three-year term with potential extensions based on performance and mutual agreement.

Place of Performance
Deliveries will be made to the ARF/MSI Optical Lab located at 2727 E. Beecher St., Adrian, MI 49221.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with specific requirements including completion of a Confidential Treatment Form if requesting confidential treatment of proposal information. They must also demonstrate compliance with any applicable state laws regarding labor practices and environmental regulations.
