Background
The Department of Corrections issued this Request for Proposal (RFP) to solicit responses for the selection of a Contractor to provide underground storage tank inspections. The goal of the contract is to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards related to underground storage tanks. This contract supports the agency's mission of maintaining safe and secure correctional facilities.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for conducting inspections of underground storage tanks (USTs) at various correctional facilities. The services include:
1. Conducting regular inspections as per Schedule A, Statement of Work, Sections 1-3;
2. Meeting all contract requirements outlined in Schedule A, Statement of Work, Sections 4-12;
3. Providing detailed reporting on inspection findings;
4. Ensuring that all personnel involved in the inspections are Type B Certified Underground Storage Tank Operators;
5. Completing additional compliance tests as required by LARA for multiple facilities over the contract term.

Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract is three years, with options for up to five one-year renewals.

Place of Performance
Inspections will be conducted at various correctional facilities across Michigan, including but not limited to Alger Correctional Facility, Baraga Correctional Facility, Chippewa Correctional Facility, and others as specified in the RFP.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be Type B Certified Underground Storage Tank Operators and provide copies of each operator’s certification with their bid proposal. There are no specific set-aside certifications mentioned such as M/WBE or SDVOSB.
