Notice of Intent to Award for RFP #240000002212

Background
The State of Michigan's Department of Technology, Management & Budget issued Request for Proposal (RFP) #171-240000002212 to solicit responses for the selection of a contractor to provide ammunition, firearms, and related law enforcement equipment for state law enforcement agencies and MiDeal members.

The goal of this contract is to ensure that law enforcement agencies have access to necessary equipment and supplies. The term of each contract is one year, with up to nine one-year renewal options.

Work Details
The awarded contractors, Vance Outdoors, Inc. and Kiesler Police Supply, Inc., will provide the following:

1. Ammunition from brands such as Hornady and Winchester;
2. Firearms and related law enforcement equipment;
3. Compliance with service requirements including delivery, acceptance, invoicing, and payment processes as outlined in the RFP;
4. Adherence to quality assurance programs, warranties, recall procedures, and minimum order requirements;
5. Provision of training and reporting as required by the State;
6. Additional discounted price lists for a variety of law enforcement equipment with discounts ranging from 10% to 53.8%.

The total award amounts are $1,306,966.00 for Vance Outdoors and $2,092,165.00 for Kiesler Police Supply.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of one year with the possibility of up to nine additional one-year renewals.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed within the State of Michigan.
