Network Cabling Installation

Background
Grand Haven Area Public Schools of Grand Haven, Michigan, is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for Network Cabling Installation. The goal of this contract is to enhance the network infrastructure across multiple school facilities within the district.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the installation of network cabling at various schools, including Central High School, Duneside Discovery Center, Ferry Elementary School, Lake Hills Elementary School, Peach Plains Elementary School, Robinson Elementary School, Rosy Mound Elementary School, and White Pines Intermediate School.

Specific tasks include:
- Running network cables from the nearest IDF (Intermediate Distribution Frame) to designated destinations.
- Terminating cables at both ends and installing patch panels into existing racks.
- Utilizing cable trays where available; otherwise, installing J-hooks for cable management.
- Making wall penetrations with sleeves as needed for capacity.
- All work must be performed outside of school hours.

Quantities and locations for cabling runs include:
- Central High School: 34 runs
- Duneside Discovery Center: 53 runs
- Ferry Elementary School: 60 runs
- Lake Hills Elementary School: 46 runs
- Peach Plains Elementary School: 60 runs
- Robinson Elementary School: 63 runs
- Rosy Mound Elementary School: 48 runs
- White Pines Intermediate School: 146 runs.

Period of Performance
The anticipated project start date is February 2026, with a contract award expected on December 15, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at various locations in Grand Haven, Michigan including Central High School, Duneside Discovery Center, Ferry Elementary School, Lake Hills Elementary School, Peach Plains Elementary School, Robinson Elementary School, Rosy Mound Elementary School, and White Pines Intermediate School.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a sworn statement disclosing any familial relationships with members of the Board of Education or the Superintendent. Bids must also include an Affidavit of Compliance regarding the Iran Economic Sanctions Act. Bidders are required to submit three references from previous clients including at least two Michigan schools that have worked with them in the past five years.
