Background
The Lansing Board of Water & Light (BWL) is the largest municipally owned electric utility in Michigan, serving approximately 100,000 customers. Established in 1885, BWL is seeking proposals for the procurement, installation, and support of two NetApp AFF C30 all-flash storage systems as part of its ongoing commitment to enhance its technological infrastructure.
Work Details
Vendors are required to provide:
1. Two (2) NetApp AFF C30 high-availability (HA) storage systems.
2. Eighteen (18) 15.3TB NVMe SSDs per HA system.
3. ONTAP One software bundle including features such as NFS, SMB, iSCSI, FC, NVMe/FC, NVMe/TCP support, S3 object support, SnapMirror, SnapVault, snapshots, cloning, data-at-rest encryption, and data efficiency features like deduplication and compression.
4. Required network modules: 100GbE QSFP28 modules and 25GbE 4-port modules.
5. Required optics and cabling: QSFP28 100GbE copper cables (0.5m), OM4 LC/LC fiber cables (2m), SFP+ 10Gb shortwave optics.
6. Thirty-six (36) months of Advanced Support with Storage Lifecycle Program including a 4-hour onsite parts replacement service.
7. Standard installation and configuration services including network connectivity setup and initial data migration assistance if included in vendor scope.
Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award notification on March 26, 2026, and will include a service period of thirty-six months for support services.

The services will be performed at the Lansing Board of Water & Light facilities located at 1232 Haco Dr., Michigan United States.
