Mechanical and Electrical Construction

Background
Caro Community Schools is issuing a solicitation for bids from public trade contractors for the construction of the Caro Community Schools 2024 Bond Projects, specifically Bid Package #1A which focuses on mechanical and electrical work.
The project aims to enhance the educational facilities within the community as part of a broader initiative funded by the 2024 bond.

Work Details
The project includes two main bid categories:
- Bid Category 101A – Electrical
- Bid Category 102A – Mechanical.
Contractors will be required to follow the drawings and specifications prepared by Integrated Design Inc and the Construction Manager’s Project Manual by Spence Brothers.
The scope of work encompasses all necessary mechanical and electrical installations as outlined in the provided project documents.

Period of Performance
Construction is scheduled to commence on December 19, 2025, and is expected to be completed by January 5, 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will take place at Caro Community Schools located at 325 E. Frank St., Caro, MI 48723.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit proposals via Procore and include a scanned copy of the bid form provided by the Construction Manager.
A Bid Security amounting to five percent (5%) of the Base Bid is mandatory, which can be in the form of a Bid Bond, Cashier’s Check, or Money Order.
Bidders must also furnish Performance and Payment Bonds at 100% of their bid cost. Prevailing wage laws apply to this project.
