Led Lighting Retrofitting Project

Background
Parchment School District, located at 520 N. Orient Street, Parchment, MI 49004, is seeking quotes for a series of LED lighting retrofitting projects across multiple school facilities. The goal of this project is to upgrade existing lighting systems to energy-efficient LED technology, thereby enhancing the learning environment and reducing energy costs.

Work Details
The contract involves retrofitting six specific schools with LED lighting. The projects include:
1. Parchment High School LED Retrofit - 1916 E G Avenue, Parchment, MI 49004
2. Parchment Middle School LED Retrofit - 307 N Riverview Drive, Parchment, MI 49004
3. Central Elementary School LED Retrofit - 516 N Orient St., Parchment, MI 49004
4. North Elementary LED Retrofit - 5535 Keyes Drive, Kalamazoo, MI 49004
5. Northwood Elementary School LED Retrofit - 600 Edison Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49004
6. Parchment Innovation Center LED Retrofit - 1125 E Mosel Avenue, Kalamazoo, MI. Each project requires the contractor to provide detailed costs for materials and labor for removal and installation of the new lighting systems. Additional costs may include equipment rentals (e.g., scissor lifts) and disposal of old materials in compliance with environmental guidelines. All products must be UL, ETL, DLC, or Energy Star certified and come with a minimum five-year warranty on both product and labor.

Period of Performance
The targeted installation timeframe for all projects is during the summer of 2025, with completion expected by the end of July 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at various locations within the Parchment School District in Michigan.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must maintain worker compensation insurance and liability insurance (minimum $1 million per occurrence). They are required to submit a notarized statement disclosing any familial relationships with members of the Parchment School District Board of Education as per Public Act 232 of 2004. Additionally, bidders must comply with the Iran Economic Sanctions Act (Michigan Public Act No. 517 of 2012) and acknowledge compliance with prevailing wage laws as mandated by Michigan Public Act No. 10 of 2023.
