Lakeview Public Schools Contracted Custodial Services

Background
Lakeview Public Schools is seeking contracted custodial services to maintain cleanliness and hygiene across its facilities. The mission of the District is to provide a safe and conducive learning environment for students, which includes ensuring that all school premises are clean and well-maintained. The goal of this contract is to secure a reliable service provider who can meet the District's cleaning standards and requirements as outlined in the Request for Proposals (RFP).

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing custodial services including but not limited to: daily cleaning of classrooms, restrooms, hallways, cafeterias, and administrative offices; weekly deep cleaning tasks; monthly maintenance of floors; and special event setups.

Specific tasks include dusting surfaces, emptying trash, sanitizing fixtures, mopping floors, and maintaining outdoor areas. Additionally, the contractor may be required to provide cleaning chemicals and equipment as specified in Required Alternates #1 and #2. All cleaning supplies must be commercial grade and comply with safety regulations. Equipment provision includes commercial-grade floor machines, vacuums, custodial carts, and other necessary tools.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on July 1, 2025, following the award of the contract and issuance of the purchase order. The duration of the contract typically aligns with the school year or as determined by the District.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at various locations within Lakeview Public Schools including elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, and administrative buildings within the district.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit a completed bid form along with a bid price spreadsheet in Microsoft Excel format. They should provide documentation regarding their financial stability, a list of business references, employee benefits offered to staff placed in the District, and a narrative on compliance with staffing requirements.

Additionally, bidders must include a list of equipment proposed for use under Required Alternate #2. A performance bond may also be required.
