Background
The Grand Rapids Public Schools (GRPS) is issuing this solicitation for the remodel of the existing Ken-O-Sha elementary school as part of their Southeast Environmental Science Academy project. The goal of the contract is to enhance the educational environment through significant interior and exterior renovations.

Work Details
The scope of work includes both interior and exterior remodeling of the Ken-O-Sha elementary school.

The exterior remodel encompasses paving, landscaping, playgrounds, and utilities. The interior remodel involves selective demolition, installation of new mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems (MEP-FP), new structural elements, and all new interior finishes.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence after the bid due date of January 27, 2026, with specific timelines to be determined based on project requirements.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Ken-O-Sha elementary school located in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a Bid Bond, comply with Iran Economic Sanctions Act requirements, submit a School Safety Affidavit, and include a familial disclosure statement as per MCL 380.1267.

Bids must be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship with members of the Board of Education or Superintendent. Bidders must also certify that they are not an 'Iran linked business'.
