Background
This ITN 240000000029 was undertaken by the Michigan Department of Transportation’s Purchasing office to advise contractors of the State’s desire to purchase GSSI Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) UtilityScan Pro, and intention to enter negotiations and execute a contract based on its belief that only one contractor – GSSI, Geophysical Survey Systems, Inc. - is able provide it.
Work Details
MDOT’s existing GSSI existing equipment has met its service life and is in need of replacement. MDOT is seeking a replacement system with backward compatibility with the old unit. MDOT staff have been trained by GSSI on how to use the existing equipment.
The specific products to be provided include: Emlid Reach RS2+ GPS receiver with carrying case, LoRa antenna, USB-C cable, and serial adapter cable; FLEX NX CONTTROLLER W/NX15 SATELLITE ANTENNA; MODEL 62X TRIPOD; SIR 4000 Data Acquisition System; AC Power Supply; Model 350 HyperStacking Antenna; Model 624 3-wheel Cart; 2.1-meter Digital Antenna Control Cable; UtilityScan Quick Start Guide; and two (2) batteries.
