FY25 Concrete Pavement Repair M39, I-75 to I-94, PMC

Background
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) for concrete pavement repairs on M-39, between I-75 and I-94, within Wayne County.
The goal of this contract is to maintain and improve the roadway infrastructure under the jurisdiction of the Taylor Transportation Service Center.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other services necessary to perform approximately 150 individual concrete pavement patches.
Specific tasks include:
1. Concrete Pavement Repair (12 inches thick) - approximately 4500 square yards.
2. Drainage Structure Adjustments - approximately 40 units.
3. Non-Freeway Lane(s) Closure - approximately 10 units.
4. Cross Street Lane(s) Closure - approximately 8 units.
5. Ramp Closure - approximately 1 unit.
6. Erosion Control measures including Inlet Protection and Fabric Drop - approximately 50 units.
All work must comply with MDOT Standard Specifications for Construction and relevant special provisions.

Period of Performance
The contract activities are expected to commence no earlier than April 2025 and must be completed by September 30, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed on M-39 between I-75 and I-94 in Wayne County, Michigan.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be prequalified under Category Ba for concrete pavement patching and widening.
The contractor must furnish performance and lien bonds each for not less than 100% of the total contract price.
Compliance with prevailing wage requirements is mandatory, and all workers must be paid according to local prevailing wage rates.
