District Paving 27-1

Background
The Lincoln Park Public Schools (LPPS) Board of Education is seeking sealed proposals for the District Paving project for the years 2026-2027. The goal of this contract is to provide installation, repair, and service of asphalt at multiple school locations within the district. This initiative falls under the Facilities/Operations/Construction department, emphasizing the importance of maintaining safe and accessible environments for students and staff.

Work Details
The project requires the following services at specified locations:

1. **Foote Elementary, 3250 Abbott Ave, Lincoln Park MI 48146**
- New parking lot approximately 8,424 square feet:
- Remove existing topsoil & haul off site
- Remove and reinstall 6-foot chain link fence
- Furnish and install 21AA LS
- Fine grade stone
- Furnish and install 2.5 inches 4EML leveling course
- Apply SS-1H bond coat
- Furnish and install 1.5 inches 5EML wearing course
- Stripe new parking stalls and existing parking lot
- Add bumper blocks
- Sealcoat and crack fill existing parking lot
- Clean all debris caused by this work

2. **Lafayette Elementary, 1360 Lafayette Blvd, Lincoln Park MI 48146**
- New playground asphalt approximately 14,100 square feet:
- Remove existing asphalt
- Fine grade stone
- Furnish and install 2.5 inches EML leveling course
- Apply SS-1H bond coat
- Furnish and install 1.5 inches 5EML wearing course
- Clean all debris caused by this work

3. **Keppen Elementary, 661 Mill Street, Lincoln Park MI 48146**
- New parking lot approximately 16,386 square feet:
- Remove existing asphalt
- Remove and salvage fence
- Remove and reset parking blocks
- Fine grade stone
- Furnish and install 2.5 inches 4EML leveling course
- Apply SS-1H bond coat
- Furnish and install 1.5 inches 5EML wearing course
- Restripe to match existing layout.

4. Additional playground asphalt approximately 23,326 square feet:
- Remove existing asphalt.
- Repair catch basins.
- Fine grade stone.
- Furnish and install required leveling courses.

All work must be completed by August 31, 2026.

Period of Performance
The contract work is scheduled to start in Summer 2025 with a completion deadline of August 31, 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at various locations within Lincoln Park Public Schools in Lincoln Park, Michigan.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit a sworn statement disclosing any familial relationships with LPPS employees or board members as per Michigan law. Additionally, bidders must certify compliance with the Iran Economic Sanctions Act. Proposals must include a Certificate of Liability Insurance, a current W9 form, a bid bond, a performance bond, and other required documentation as specified in the RFP.
