Bid 6197: Phn Tennis Court Resurfacing

Background
The Port Huron Area School District is seeking proposals for the Tennis Court Repair and Resurfacing project at Port Huron Northern High School, located at 1799 Krafft Rd, Port Huron, MI 48060. The goal of this contract is to restore the tennis courts to a playable condition, ensuring compliance with local standards and regulations.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the project. The scope of work includes:

1) Cleaning the entire surface with a high-pressure power washer to remove dirt, debris, mildew, and stains;
2) Cleaning and filling all cracks with acrylic crack filler;
3) Applying RiteWay Crack Repair membrane system to all filled cracks;
4) Applying acrylic patch mix to rough and/or peeling areas;
5) Applying two coats of acrylic resurfacer to repaired cracks and patches;
6) Applying one coat of acrylic resurfacer to the entire surface;
7) Applying two coats of acrylic color to the entire court surface;
8) Striping eight tennis courts with masked 2” white lines per USTA standards;
9) Applying one coat of Wipe Out Stain Blocker (rust inhibitor) to the entire court surface.

Additionally, an optional add-on price for pickleball striping should be included. A warranty against defects in workmanship for a minimum of one year is required.

Period of Performance
Work is scheduled to begin on June 6th, 2026, and must be completed by July 17th, 2026.

The work will be performed at Port Huron Northern High School, located at 1799 Krafft Rd, Port Huron, MI 48060.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationships with members of the Port Huron Area School District Board or Superintendent. They must also certify compliance with Michigan's Iran Economic Sanctions Act and confirm that all personnel will undergo criminal background checks. Bidders are required to have a minimum of five years of experience in similar projects and provide references.
