Bentley Schools Summer 2024 Project

Background
The Bentley Community School District (BCSD) through Progressive AE, the Architect, is soliciting bids for building construction work at three schools: Barhitte Elementary School, Bentley Middle School, and Bentley High School. The work includes exterior and interior renovations, such as revising private roadways and drives, parking lot improvements, concrete curb and gutters, sidewalks, site utilities, site lighting, tree removal, replacement of masonry glass blocks with storefront glazing systems, relocation of exhaust fans, minimal painting, light gauge metal framing, and drywall.

Work Details
The work to be completed includes exterior improvements at all three schools and interior renovations at Bentley High School. The exterior work involves revising private roadways and drives, parking lot improvements including asphalt replacement and/or new asphalt paving, concrete curb and gutters, concrete sidewalks, site utilities, site lighting, and tree removal.
The interior work at Bentley High School includes the replacement of masonry glass blocks with storefront glazing systems, relocation of exhaust fans, minimal painting, light gauge metal framing, and drywall.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract includes the pre-bid meetings on January 31, 2024. Electronic bid documents can be obtained from the Architect on or after January 26, 2024. The bid due date is before 12:00 p.m. on Friday, February 16, 2024.

Place of Performance
The construction work will be performed at Barhitte Elementary School,
Bentley Middle School,
and Bentley High School in the Bentley Community School District located at 1170 North Belsay Road in Burton,
MI 48509.
